'Bitter Sweet'

'Bitter Sweet' is a project based on the tech heavy Generation Z and it's effects on society. When creating my series ‘Bitter Sweet’, this title inspired by the setting of my images, I found that having an Instagram poll on the type of emotion viewers saw in my images reflected ideas of bitter love and curiosity. It was interesting to see Generation Z's take on the images and these responses enabled me to create my own ‘subtitles.’ 

The dreamy and vibrant colours shine through which adds an intrigue to the ‘subtitles’. These symbolic lines from a semiotics point of view create a connection between the viewer and the subject due to the relatable context of the lines. These images and relatable context of the lines, speak the unthinkable truth and a type of honesty society lacks.
